Favorite Book: The Conch Bearer (in reality I’m a bookworm so I can’t decide!)
Favorite Movie: Interstellar
Favorite Quote: “No one saves us but ourselves. No one can and no one may. We ourselves must walk the path.” – Buddha
Who is your Role Model? My Mother.
My TAG-Ed experience: I interned at McKesson (Summer 2011), Georgia Power (Summer 2012), and The Coca-Cola Company (Summer 2013). In all three internships I was focused on working in the IT field working on various duties regarding SharePoint and data management.
What I’m doing now: Currently I am a senior and have almost completed my degree in biochemistry (w/ business concentration). I have begun my first co-op rotation at Johnson&Johnson, and am working in the scientific affairs department (analytical branch).
Future Plans: I am very glad to have been able to obtain the valuable knowledge and skill-sets as it helped me gain fundamental knowledge about how IT can contribute to the stability of a corporation. I hope to become either an analytical scientist, or an organic chemistry process engineer. I truly enjoy being a chemist, and hope that my IT knowledge can help support certain tasks and duties involved in this field.
Work/Volunteer experiences shaped by my internship: Along with my duties in the laboratory, I am also leading a project that involves creating a database, involving SharePoint and Excel. My previously developed skillset is what is helping me complete this task!
